The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency recommends that all cable is classified as hazardous waste unless otherwise proven. To facilitate sorting, Selcable has developed a list of Swedish cable that makes it easier to classify cable for sorting and recycling, as the majority of Swedish cable does not need to be classified as hazardous waste.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To simplify management, Selcable has developed a list that helps companies identify different types of Swedish cable, their content and how they can be sorted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Identification facilitates recycling and reduces waste costs<\/h1>\n

Classifying all cable as hazardous waste can result in significant costs for businesses with large amounts of cable waste. With the list, Selcable makes it easier to sort and recycle materials locally and avoid unnecessary landfilling or export.<\/p>\n

The list is based on the marking that is already on all Swedish cables. The marking contains information about the manufacturer, cable type, and the year and month of manufacture. This provides a clear starting point for assessing the cable and how it should be sorted.<\/p>\n\n

Contribute to a sustainable society by sorting correctly<\/h1>\n

Utilizing natural resources and recycling is becoming increasingly important as a competitive factor in an environment characterized by climate threats. By sorting your own cable, you can reduce your waste costs and at the same time contribute to a more sustainable society.<\/p>\n

From 10-11 tons of cable waste, approximately 4 tons of aluminum can be recycled. This can be used to manufacture, for example, 2 complete car bodies, 300,000 cans, or 1\/5 of a sports aircraft.<\/p>\n\n
