Cirkulära lösningar och hållbar materialhantering är viktigt för kabelbranschen som arbetar aktivt med att utveckla lösningar för återvinning, materialeffektivitet och cirkularitet. Detta arbete sker exempelvis genom projekt som kabelåtervinning och avfallsklassificering.

Selcable members work actively to achieve high sustainability goals. Design, material use, manufacturing processes, use and final disposal are all areas that have a special environmental focus among our members.

Selcable's environmental committee also regularly monitors developments and legal requirements that affect the cable industry. We have also developed templates for environmental declarations to uniformly report the material properties of our products, where SEG's system for Environmental Declarations is also used. All environmental declarations are available in SEG's E-number bank. We also have a common return system for cable drums.

Selcable's members also follow the Eurocable Industry Charter to ensure a long-term stable society.
