Circular solutions and sustainable material management is important for the cable industry, which is actively working to develop solutions for recycling, material efficiency and circularity. This work is done, for example, through projects such as cable recycling and waste classification.

Selcable members work actively to achieve high sustainability goals. Design, material use, manufacturing processes, use and final disposal are all areas that have a special environmental focus among our members.

Selcable's environmental committee also regularly monitors developments and legal requirements that affect the cable industry. We have also developed templates for environmental declarations to uniformly report the material properties of our products, where SEG's system for Environmental Declarations is also used. All environmental declarations are available in SEG's E-number bank. We also have a common return system for cable drums.

Selcable's members also follow the Eurocable Industry Charter to ensure a long-term stable society.
