Nexans secures energy supply through its wide and diverse range of cables and cable solutions that improve the operations and results of its customers worldwide. Nexans' ambition is to be a partner and support for customers in four main business areas: power transmission and distribution (offshore and onshore), energy resources (oil and gas, mining and renewables), transportation (road, rail, aviation and ships) and installation (commercial buildings, residential and data centers).

Nexans' strategy is based on continuous innovation of products, solutions and services, employee skills development, customer training and the introduction of safe industrial processes with the lowest possible environmental impact. In 2013, Nexans became the first company in the cable industry to create a foundation to promote long-term projects that provide vulnerable communities around the world with access to energy. Nexans Sweden, with approximately 500 employees, is Nexans' Swedish parent company and constitutes an important production resource for Nexans in both the power and telecommunications cable areas, including through its role as a coordination center for ribbon fiber cables. The company is located in Grimsås in Västergötland and also constitutes a logistics center for customers in the Nordic and Baltic countries. In addition, there are marketing departments for sales in Sweden, Finland and the Baltic countries. A smaller subsidiary is located in Gislaved.
