Updated standards and European collaboration

Two new standards and workshop led by Europacable, here is the latest news from Selcable's operations.

In order to effectively implement the new CPR, Selcable, represented by Kristoffer Berglund (Prysmian), has participated in a workshop organized by Europacable. The revised CPR will include several requirements for environmental reporting, including requirements for an environmental declaration such as an EPD. Stay tuned to our channels for more information.

In addition, two standards that apply to medium voltage cables were published on 2024-01-24.

An update of SS 424 14 16, Power cables – PEX-insulated cable with rated voltage 7/12 kV to 21/36 kV – Design and testing
A new edition of SS 424 14 20, Power cables – PP-TPE insulated cable with rated voltage 7/12 kV to 21/36 kV – Design and testing

In addition, the standard SS 424 0246, Installation cables – Fluoroplastic insulated cables without sheath, has been updated.
