Position Paper: Ensuring the Inclusion of Power Cables in CBAM

Selcable welcomes the European Commission's proposal to include power cables containing steel and/or aluminum in the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). Selcable's view is in line with the European industry association Europacable's analysis and recommendations on the issue. We would like to see Sweden work in favor, and urge the European Parliament and the EU Member States to: Published April 2026.
